I began my exercise base recovery at Project Walk in California and worked with them to open Roll 2 Walk. Now we are making our connection even stronger by becoming Project Walk-Austin, moving to a new location, and being more connected to the global leader in spinal cord injury recovery. Keith-Ann Steed, Executive Director.
By the time I finished my SCI program with Project Walk® in California, I was walking across the room on crutches. Bringing the program to Texas as Project Walk-Austin was my next best step.

We help people with spinal cord injuries (SCI) regain their lives on their feet and out of their wheelchairs through an exercise-based recovery. We do not offer miracle cures. We offer hope. Our spinal cord injury recovery program is based on the Dardzinski Method™ which targets each individual’s weaknesses and retrains the nervous system to respond appropriately.
Traditional therapy teaches SCI patients how to live life in a wheelchair, and uses medication to control muscles spasms. We believe these spasms are a sign of a dysfunctional nervous system, not a broken one. By reducing medications and working with the body’s natural healing resources, over 90% of our clients regain function beyond the traditional expectations.
People come to Project Walk-Austin from all over the United States and many foreign countries. Their injuries were caused by different accidents, but we all have hope for our spinal cord injury recovery. Some of our clients have shared their stories for others to help them gain hope and encouragement.
Its the 2nd Annual Project Walk Austin. Get on your Kick'n Boots and Scoot on over.
