Meagan

Megan was an active 11 years old with soccer and gymnastics. On Thanksgiving 2006, the family was headed back to Austin after a family holiday when they were in a head on collision. Megan spent almost five months in the hospital.  Afterwards she has been doing rehabilitation including aqua and bio therapies.

“Don’t let being in a wheel chair stop you because there is so many things you can do. I like to paint, draw and play Wii. My friends and I go to the mall just to hang out. I was in a track team program for teenagers in high school, but I got so busy with other activities that I did not have time to practice,” Megan commented.

Her favorite exercise at Project Walk-Austin is being able to stand and walk with a walker. She knows that she has to work hard and gain strength in her legs to be able to walk again.
